Delicious Berry Smoothie
My kids love this smoothie and have it most mornings or as an after school snack. If I get the chance I will hide some goodies in there like Collagen Hydrolysate and MCT oil to keep them going for longer
Ingredients
1 cup of Berries - I use frozen blueberries, or mixed berries that I buy from the organic farmers markets, or choose organic berries from your local supermarket or health food store
For kids I add 1 banana for sweetness but not necessary ( I will often add a green banana for the resistant starch that helps to feed our gut bacteria)
1.5 cups of non dairy milk - almond milk, coconut milk (Coco quench brand, organic)
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds
1 tablespoon of cashews or sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon of Collagen Hydrolysate
1 capful of MCT oil
Method
Place into high speed blender until a smooth consistency. Serve immediately as the smoothie will set if left out.
